Rundetårn (The Round Tower) was built as an astronomic observatory in 1637-42 by King Christian IV. The tower is 34,8 m tall. Horse and wagon can go to the top on the spiral ramp inside the tower. Possibly it was used for the transportation of heavy and delicate astronomic instruments.
